Our Professional Team


Sorcha Finnegan is the Managing Partner in Kelly & Griffin, having joined them from one of Dublin’s top firms in 2007.

Sorcha specialises in Litigation and has a large portfolio of Defence and Plaintiff litigation. Sorcha works closely with a renowned insurance  company in defending insurance claims. She has an extensive client base of Plaintiff clients in areas such as personal injuries, medical negligence, professional negligence, debt collection, breach of contract.

She also specialises in Employment Law with substantial experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues having acted on behalf of employer and employees. Sorcha is also an appointed Notary Public.

Sorcha has spoken at seminars in relation to litigation matters and has written a number of articles.

Sorcha qualified with an honours Law degree together with a degree in History and German and qualified as a solicitor in 2002.


Damien Kelly is the founding partner in Kelly & Griffin, having set up the practice in 1973 in Terenure.

Damien specialises in Conveyancing, Probate and Private Client. He has been providing legal advice on all aspects of property transactions throughout the years and his vast experience gives clients a confident peace of mind. He provides clients with the legal guidance and practical know-how to help them with their property transactions.

Damien has been advising clients with practical advice and forward planning in their private affairs for years. This includes advising them on drafting wills, codicils, trust deeds, powers of attorney and enduring powers of attorney, probate and administration of estates and intestacy applications together with estate planning, valuation and distribution of assets.

Damien qualified as a solicitor in 1973.


Denise qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and has been practising since. She has ran a general practice for years and specialises in the areas of Conveyancing, Probate, Family and Litigation. She has vast experience in general practice and provides clients with a varied but precise legal knowledge in her areas of expertise.

Denise has been advising clients in all aspects of law for years and has a very practical approach to achieving the best results for her clients.

Denise joined Kelly & Griffin in 2016 and is an integral part of the team in providing expert legal advice to clients.


Claire started with a city based firm in 1973 as a junior Secretary and worked in all aspects of litigation and conveyancing.

Claire moved to Kelly & Griffin in Terenure in 1999 and her main areas of work are Litigation, Family Law and Employment Law.

She qualified as a Legal Executive in 2008


Sally Carney MIILEx is a graduate of Griffith College Dublin. She qualified as a Legal Executive in 2007. Prior to qualifying she worked in the legal profession since 2002 in the areas of general Conveyancing and Litigation. Sally is currently studying for the FE1s and hopes to secure a place in Blackhall Place to study to become a solicitor in the future.

She now works in Conveyancing, Landlord and Tenant, Probate, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Debt Collection and Litigation.


Jenny joined Kelly & Griffin in 2016, after completing a Diploma in Legal Administration in Rathmines College. She had previously obtained a BA in French and European Studies from IT Tallaght, where she gained an interest in the legal profession. Prior to joining Kelly & Griffin she worked as a Legal Secretary in a busy firm.

Jenny intends to continue her studies in law and expand her qualifications.


Kevin has over 25 years’ experience working in legal accounts and implemented the changeover to the computer accounts system in Kelly & Griffin. Kevin has worked with Kelly & Griffin since 2011 and is an integral part of the team.

Kevin is a member of The Institute of Legal Accountants of Ireland.
